Product selection context

Start with the mechanism.

Unionwell product reference for Micro Switch Engineering applications. Confirm the exact G5L configuration, electrical load, actuator, terminals, operating conditions, and current drawing revision with engineering before design approval.

Use this page as an on-site starting point, not as a substitute for a controlled drawing or model-specific datasheet. Final selection depends on the actual switch position, movement, circuit, operating environment, and validation plan.

Typical operating points to review

Power & garden tools

Power-tool trigger and on/off control

Translate trigger movement into a repeatable control input, with electrical loading checked against the selected model.

Power & garden tools

Lawn mower and garden equipment

Support user-control or mechanism-position detection in equipment exposed to vibration and outdoor conditions.

Guard, handle, or cover position

Detect a safety cover or movable handle reaching its operating position.

Dusty or damp equipment zones

Shortlist protected switch configurations when dust, water, or cleaning exposure is part of the use environment.

Discuss this position

These are application examples for project discussion. Confirm the exact configuration, ratings, approvals, and system-level suitability with Unionwell engineering.

Four checks before you shortlist a switch

  1. Define the signal. Identify the position or event the mechanism must detect, including normal, released, and fault states.
  2. Map the movement. Share actuator type, available travel, operating force, mounting envelope, terminal direction, and tolerance stack.
  3. Specify the conditions. State voltage, current and load type, switching frequency, temperature, moisture, dust, vibration, and expected operating life.
  4. Plan validation and supply. Include required approvals, sample and test expectations, annual volume, project stage, target timing, and drawing revision.

Send a drawing, mechanism photo, or incumbent part number with your RFQ when available. The team can then check the mechanical interface and electrical requirements together.
